Sat, July 23, 2005 - 1:26 PMFrank's isn't anything special. It's better than say.....Crystal.....but anything is. Now I used to live in NJ and there was a place that did these incredible hot wings with a sauce that started with Frank's but then they added tons of other spices to it to make it awesome. Used to order extras.
As for Top 5......
1. Melinda's Garlic
2. Melinda's Chipotle
3. Tabasco Chipotle
4. Melinda's Amarillo (it's a mustard-y sauce. Great for pretzels and hot dogs)
5. Aaron Neville's (kind of BBQ like and hard to find)

Sun, July 24, 2005 - 4:59 PMI have never been a fan of Franks. I usually make my own sauces and when the recipe call for an inexpensive red pepper sauce for the base, I’ll use Crystal instead of Franks because it is very neutral, and then I’ll add my own spices in the ratios I want them in.
As for pre-made sauces, here are 5 of my favorite sauces:
Blair’s Original Death Sauce
Mountainman Fire Roasted Habanero Sauce
Pit Bull Hot Sauce
Jim Beam Kentucky Bourbon Sauce
Susie’s Original Hot Sauce
